Bla records 50 fresh COVID-19 cases, 41 from Sopore alone | KNO

Baramulla, June 27 (KNO): The north Kashmir’s Baramulla district continues to witness spike in Covid-19 positive cases as 50 more persons were tested positive for the virus on Saturday, thus taking the total number of cases in the district to 613. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 50 new cases, 41 are from Sopore alone. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Baramulla, Dr. Deeba said that among 50 fresh cases, 41 are from Sopore while nine are from Baramulla. Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Asif said that there are around 100 active cases in Sopore who are undergoing treatment at designated Covid-19 hospital in Sopore. Pertinently, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla ordered a complete lockdown in Sopore after sudden spike in COVID-19 cases—(KNO)
